Relish Restaurant
Sunday brunch at one of our favorite restaurants, Relish, on Wythe and Metropolitan in Williamsburg.
Jones Beach
On Saturday, we enjoyed the 91-degree weather an hour outside the city at Jones Beach in Long Island. It's one of my favorite summer spots. We met Noelle, Cherie and Hillary there. It was lovely.
New Plants from Stephen
On Saturday, our friend Stephen brought us some plants for our yard. He gave us a tutorial. He's very smart.
Plant Rescue
On Friday, Nick and I rescued a plant from Nick's office so we could give it a new home in our yard. We had to carry it on the subway, which was a nice visual. We also happy-hour drinks at Pieces in the Village and dinner at a Mexican place near NYU.

Jesus Works at the New York Times
My friend Jesus, who recently started a job recruiting for the New York Times, today showed me around the newspaper's new HQ on 8th Avenue and 41st Street. I had a great lunch in the cafeteria and enjoyed the view of Times Square. Thanks, Jesus!
New York Times Climbing Crisis
On my way to meet Jesus, an NYPD news conference was taking place in front of the newspaper's building. The fearless group of officers explained to the press how they bravely arrested a French guy for climbing the exterior of the 52-storey building. Clearly, the hard hats are required for this situation. The Frenchman who was arrested unfurled a banner reading "each year global warming kills more people than 9/11." Nice.

Hooray, Obama!
Step aside, Clinton. Finally. Actually, I firmly believe Hillary will be Obama's running mate and the "dream team" will take back the White House. Obama-Clinton '08! I took this pic of the TV after Nick and I got home from the gym. We're both ecstatic!

Relaxing Sunday
Nick and I went to the Christopher Street Pier to relax in the sun. It was quite nice. Later we had lunch at Cowgirl Cafe in the West Village, then book shopping and cocktails on Christopher Street.
