Central Park in the Sun
Luck us: the best weather of the year so far was today, Memorial Day. We met Noelle and Mike at the Sheep's Meadow in Central Park. It was packed with thousands of people relaxing in the sun, playing Frisbee, people-watching, etc.
Jerk English Waiter
This is us last night at Dumont in Williamsburg. Our waiter was the worst waiter in NYC, topped of by an upper-crust British accent. Nick complained and got us free dessert. After dinner we took the train to Union Square and saw "Indiana Jones". It was fantastic, in a campy CGI way.

Sprucing Up The Yard
Today was beautiful. Nick and I took advantage of the nice weather to finally spruce up our back yard with flowers from Millennium Market on Bedford Avenue. Nick swept out the mess and I potted. Time for a BBQ!
Bar-Hopping
East Village bar-hopping: Alex, visiting from Austria, Nick, Noelle, John, visiting from Oregon, Stephen and me, visiting from Mars.

Fleet Week
It's Fleet Week, and the sailors are in town! These lovely ladies agreed to be photographed with me in Little Italy.
Top O' the Rock
John took this pic of Nick and me atop Rockefeller Center, with Central Park and the Upper West Side behind us. The observation deck ($20) is great because it you never have to wait in line, unlike at the Empire State Building. It was my second visit to the Rock. The first time I didn't have my camera. Yikes.
A Walk Through Midtown
Nick took this pic today while we showed John around Midtown. There was a Turkish-American parade of some sort on Madison Avenue and hordes of tourists on Fifth Avenue. We also checked out Grand Central terminal, Little Italy, Chinatown, Union Square and SoHo.

Miss Favela's Brazilian Fare
Nick returned from Europe tonight. He, John and I went to the new Brazilian-French restaurant on the corner, Miss Favela. The super-cute Dilf owner, Jeremy, took this pic for us. Aaron joined us later.

John Sees His First Tranny Hooker
OK, there wasn't really a tranny hooker, but this was John's first time at Times Square. He's visiting from Eugene, Oregon. We're friends from college. Those were the good old days...
Offensive, Yet Mildly Amusing
This ad is on the 49th Street subway platform for the N,R,Q line. The Mets/Yankees rivalry is so... amusing. Grow up, sports fans.

Pre-Birthday Celebration
Yolin and Josh flew in from Portland to help me celebrate my birthday. A group of us went to SEA in Williamsburg for dinner last night and then bar-hopped in the East Village. Good times were had by all. We spent today enjoying brunch in the sun, walking through Central Park and having a few drinks at the Hundson Hotel. Now we're off to Bamboo 52 for my birthday dinner. :-)

Feeding Baby Michael
My cousin Suzanne demonstrated that feeding baby Michael is a true adventure. He demonstrated his mid-bite screaming and ability to say "gargh!" He's so cute. Nick and I visited after work today and Suzanne made burritos.

Visit From Wisconsin
Nick's parents visited from Wisconsin this weekend. We had a nice time with them. They took us to see "Curtains" on Broadway and we had some nice dinners. This pic was taken at the Promenade at Central Park.

Fancy Planter
Businesses on Park Avenue sure are creative with their Spring planting. I saw this today during a fire drill at Bloomberg. We all had to walk to Central Park, swipe our badges and then walk back to the office. Total time: about an hour. Now I'm off to bed, with Nick still watching the talking-heads debate whether or not Clinton is going to drop out of this race.

Cinco de Mayo
Nick and I celebrated Cinco de Mayo at SEA, one of our favorite Thai restaurants. We tried to go to Bonita, our favorite Mexican restaurant on Bedford, but it was packed, even with the sidewalk seating that has returned with the nice weather. We also went for a nice run across the Williamsburg Bridge. Now we're going to pig out on ice cream. That's my day.

A Walk in the Park
Nick and I went for a long walk in Central Park yesterday. I got to show Nick some parts of the park that he hadn't seen before, including Belvedere Castle, the Egyptian obelisk and the large, seemingly random monument to Polish King Jagiello
